Join me for a fantastic opportunity to get some expert help, and connect with fellow sewing enthusiasts. I'll be giving valuable guidance, answer your questions and help you tackle your sewing projects … and I’ll bring along a few sewing machines, a serger and other equipment!
NOTE: This event is for people who ALREADY know how to sew and want help/company for a current project. I will not have time to teach from scratch or assign projects.
Get inspired and enjoy a supportive space where your sewing ideas can come to life.
What you should bring:
• Fabric(s)
• Notions (thread, buttons, zippers, etc.)
• Sewing machine if you have one.
Mythrose will provide:
• 3 Sewing Machines
• Serger
• Scissors and other equipment

Volunteer at the Repair Cafe

A ReImagine West Shore community collaboration with the Langford Residents Association.
What do you do with a broken toaster? Or a bike wheel that’s out of alignment … and what about a sweater full of moth holes? Toss it? No way! Bring them to the Repair Café, where our fantastic volunteer repair team can assess and more than likely help you get your item repaired. And for those who want to give DIY a try, there will be tools and materials on hand for you to work on fixing some things yourself!

Vendor at the 162nd Annual Victoria Highland Games and Celtic Festival
May 17 & 18 - 8am-7pm
Topaz Park, Victoria (Kitty corner to Mayfair mall)
Come shop my one of a kind upcycled fantasy creations at the 162nd Annual Victoria Highland Games and Celtic Festival, the longest continually running Highland Games in North America.
In addition to shopping the festival offers competitions of traditional sports (the games) both amateur and professional levels, as well as dance and music, lots of bag pipes, drums and leaping! There is whisky and wine tasting, opening and closing ceremonies, non-competative performers, food, heritage presentations and history displays, a children's area, clan tents, your fellow Victorians, energetic tourists and more!

Garment Skills 101 at the Green Thimble
I am proud to announce Mythrose's first collaboration with The Green Thimble, a sustainability focused sewing shop and service centre at Cook and Quadra.
This course will focus on basic clothing alteration skills including adding pockets, zipper installation, taking in a simple piece of clothing and hemming a piece of clothing. Students are able to register for the whole course or choose lessons a la carte.
